Every Thursday from 5 pm to 9 pm, the studio opens its doors to people interested in independently working on their own pottery projects. This is not a workshop; I’ll be around to answer questions, but I can’t help everybody individually. If you’ve never worked with clay, it is advised to book a handbuilding workshop before. This way you’ll learn the fundamental techniques needed to make your own pottery.

How it works:
Pre-book your seat at the handbuilding-table. You can book from 5-7pm or 7-9pm. If you’re working on a larger project feel free to book the whole 4 hours.

Please note that you’ll have to clean your tools and workspace after finishing. 10 minutes of cleaning are calculated into the 2-hour slot, so remember to tidy up after yourself before the next group of people starts.

After 2–3 weeks, you’ll come back (book another spot) to glaze your pieces. They will then be fired again and ready for pickup after another 2–3 weeks.

Prices:
2 hours – 20 €
4 hours – 35 €

Clay, glazes, tools and bisque firing are included in the price. For the glaze firing, I’ll weigh your pieces after firing and charge 1€/100g of ceramics.

The studio offers a firing service for pieces made in your home, only for stoneware clay suitable for a temperature of 1.240°C. Please send me an email with the clay and glazes you used.

Kiln rental:
You can rent a whole kiln that allows you to decide on which temperature you’d like to fire, and you can, for example, fire earthenware pieces.
